Women Finish 26th at UMass.-Dartmouth Invitational

DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Saint Joseph's College women's cross country team finished 26th out of 42 programs with 729 points in the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday. Heather Eaton (Lincolnville, Maine) paced the Monks with a career-best 19:46 performance and finished 54th out of 315 runners overall.

Featuring three runners in the top-nine, Brandeis cruised to the team title with 49 points. Allison Decker of East Stroudsberg claimed top individual honors with a 17:40 performance.

FOR THE MONKS:
  • Rookie Sarah Curtin (Strafford, N.H.) posted a 20:53 time and finished 124th overall
  • First-year Maureen Herlihy (Walpole, Mass.) was 177th with a 21:41 effort
  • Freshman Lauren Lecompte (Lewiston, Maine) raced to a 197th-place finish with a 22:10 time
  • Junior Kristina Schelling (Pelham, N.H.) toured the 5K course in 23:57, good for 258th overall
  • Junior Jill Keimach (Scarborough, Maine) was 278th with a 25:15 performance
  • Junior Marisa Lundy (Merrimac, Mass.) placed 288th with a 25:53 effort
