Waldoboro, Maine - Due to the recent tragic death of a Medomak Valley High School student, school athletic events and practices, including Medomak Youth Football, will be canceled today, Thursday, Aug. 22nd, said Maine School Administrative District 40 athletic director Matt Lash.
Counselors will be available to provide support services for students on Thursday, Aug. 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Medomak Middle School.
In addition, Joanne Shuman, guidance counselor from Warren Community School, will be available to meet with students on Thursday, Aug. 22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at MMS.
